Original: Disney Bundle vs Prime, Which Streaming Service is Best?

Gone are the days of waiting for your favorite shows to air and having to drop everything to watch them. Today, you can just binge-watch pretty much anything you want, on whichever device you want, all thanks to the abundance of streaming options available.

Still, with entertainment budgets squeezed by inflation and higher prices at the pump, it can be challenging to pick a service that fits your needs – add bundle offers and the process is even more confusing.

We’ll review two of the best options available, Amazon Prime and the Disney Bundle. Amazon Prime is a classic, and the Disney Bundle gets you a three-in-one deal, but which is best?

Disney Bundle VS Prime: Content

Amazon Prime

Most people know Prime Video’s streaming service as an add-on to Amazon Prime, but it’s also available as a standalone subscription. That’s what we’ll be referring to in this post.

Prime Video offers a significant amount of quality content, from older hits like Silence of the Lambs to Scrubs, to new programming like Amazon’s quarter million dollar production of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.

Although many viewers think that Prime TV is just for older IPs, that’s not the case. Amazon has invested significantly into new programming and achieved quite a bit of notoriety of late with wildly popular shows like The Boys and Outer Range. Prime TV also has a very wide selection of foreign films, both new and old.

Disney Bundle

Although Disney+ is fairly new, the streamer is jam-packed with original content. With Disney+ alone, viewers get an enormous selection of Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars classics, as well as exclusive access to new content from Disney, Marvel, Nat Geo, and more. Watching your favorite Jedi beat back the Empire in 4K HD is amazing, and Disney spared no expense in this space – 4K viewing is available at no additional cost with Disney+.

With the Disney+Hulu+ESPN bundle, viewers also get access to ESPN and Hulu originals like Prey, Runaways, The Old Man, and Pam and Tommy. One of the best things about Hulu is that you can also watch live shows and news, so traditional viewers can get the experience of live TV as well.

The bundle also includes full access to ESPN and all the sports shows and broadcasts available from ESPN+, including Peyton’s Places with Peyton Manning, Man in the Arena with Tom Brady, More Than An Athlete with Michael Strahan, Bettor Days with Mike Greenberg, and more.

Disney Bundle VS Prime: Cost

Of course, with so many free options available now, content isn’t the only consideration – let’s talk cost.

Prime TV viewers get access to over a hundred channels and a wide selection of on-demand content for as low as $9 a month. Another great thing about Prime TV is the 30-day trial offer, which will give you time to assess the streamer to see if it is right for you.

The Disney+ Hulu+ ESPN bundle costs slightly more than Amazon Prime, at $14 a month, but with it, you get access to three streaming services in one. That means you’ll have close to 200 channels, on-demand content, and live streaming too. That’s under $5 for each, roughly the price of Apple+ at $4.99 (the least expensive streaming service).

Disney Bundle VS Prime: The final verdict

Both options are great, but it all comes down to what you prefer. With Prime TV, viewers have a wide selection to choose from and a fairly inexpensive streaming option.

However, with the Disney+ bundle, you’ll get most Disney properties, live sports, and Hulu originals as well.

It’s tough to discern which has the most value as it is highly dependent on your preferences, so the question is: which streamer is right for you?
