It’s almost that time again. Football season is heating up with the NFL preseason well underway and the first Thursday Night Football (TNF) game kicking off the regular season on September 8, 2022 (6:20 p.m. – Bill @ Rams). But where is your favorite team streaming this weekend? If you’ve got your game face on, we’ve got you covered in our guide to NFL streaming 2022. Are you ready for some football? Our guide to the NFL Live Stream.
Let’s talk options.
NFL Network and NFL+
Beyond offering fans the ability to watch all NFL games after they’ve aired, the NFL Network and NFL+ offers out-of-market access to all preseason games and live local and primetime games on any mobile device.
NFL+ members are also given access to audio for all live games (which is a $9.99 cost savings in itself for TuneIn Premium subscribers), and access to replays and Coaches Film.
NFL+ membership is tiered, with the lower-end subscription coming in at $4.99 per month and the higher-end at $9.99. Here’s a cost/benefit breakdown of each package.
NFL+ – $4.99 monthly
- Live out-of-market Preseason games
- Live local and primetime Regular Season & Postseason games on your phone or tablet (mobile only)
- Live game audio for every game
NFL+ Premium – $9.99 monthly
- Live out-of-market Preseason games
- Live local and primetime Regular Season & Postseason games on your phone or tablet (mobile only)
- Live game audio for every game
- Full game replays across devices (ad-free)
- Condensed game replays across devices (ad-free)
- Coaches Film
Another perk of NFL+ is that you can use the same account you use for NFL Network (if applicable, not required), which gives you access to select international games, a Saturday triple-header, and a Christmas eve game.
Sling & Hulu
If you’re a Sling subscriber you already have access to quite a bit of NFL programming (depending on your package). Sling Orange subscribers have access to Monday Night Football with ESPN, while Sling Blue customers get the NFL Network which includes 7 games this year.

Of course, a handful of games may not do the trick, which is why we recommend the Sling Orange + Blue package, which includes both the NFL Network and ESPN, with the NFL Redzone available as an add-on for $11.
In total, a Sling Orange + Blue package costs $50 monthly, $61 if NFL Redzone is included, and will net you access to local games on Fox and NBC in select markets (we recommend these rabbit ears if you’re out-of-market), Monday Night Football with ESPN, and the NFL Network. However, you’re still missing games on CBS and Thursday Night Football.
Hulu with Live TV subscribers have a tad more access, with local games available in most markets (Sling access is limited to select markets), but costs between $9 – $20 more monthly. However, for $70 a month, Hulu with Live TV subscribers have access to all local games (including CBS, which may be worth the additional cost), ESPN, and the NFL Network. In addition, Hulu+Disney+ESPN+ bundle subscribers may not mind given the added benefit of ESPN+ and Disney+.

NFL live stream Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime
This is why we love Amazon Prime. After Amazon Prime Video acquired the rights to stream Thursday Night Football games in 2017, Prime subscribers got yet another benefit with their membership, which is already very robust.
Unfortunately for non-subscribers, Amazon Prime has exclusive rights to TNF, but in our opinion, it is just another reason to subscribe to an already amazing service.

- Pittsburgh @ Cleveland – September 22, 2022
- Miami @ Cincinnati – September 29, 2022
- Indianapolis @ Denver – October 6, 2022
- Washington @ Chicago – October 13, 2022
- New Orleans @ Arizona – October 20, 2022
- Baltimore @ Tampa – October 27, 2022
- Philadelphia @ Houston – November 3, 2022
- Atlanta @ Carolina – November 10, 2022
- Tennessee @ Green Bay – November 17, 2022
- Buffalo @ New England – December 1, 2022

- Dallas @ Tennessee – December 29, 2022
Of course, it wouldn’t be Sunday without football, which is why you need Peacock now.
Sunday Night Football on Peacock
We love Peacock, love it. Although the service was the recipient of some rather abyssal consumer ratings last June, Peacock has spectacular content as a member of the NBC Universal family.
In addition to new releases like The Northman, Jurassic World: Dominion, and more, Peacock is home to Sunday Night Football, and Peacock subscribers can watch every game whether they’re in-market or not.
SNF games 2022
- Buffalo @ Los Angeles (Rams) – September 8, 2022
- Tampa @ Dallas – September 11, 2022
- Chicago @ Green Bay – September 18, 2022
- San Francisco @ Denver – September 25, 2022
- Kansas City @ Tampa – October 2, 2022
- Cincinnati @ Baltimore – October 9, 2022
- Dallas @ Philadelphia – October 16, 2022
- Pittsburgh @ Miami – October 23, 2022
- Green Bay @ Buffalo – October 30, 2022
- Tennessee @ Kansas City – November 6, 2022
- Los Angeles (Chargers) @ San Francisco – November 13, 2022
- Cincinnati @ Pittsburgh – November 20, 2022
- New England @ Minnesota – November 24, 2022
- Green Bay @ Philadelphia – November 27, 2022
- Indianapolis @ Dallas – December 4, 2022
- Kansas City @ Denver – December 11, 2022
- New England @ Las Vegas – December 18, 2022
- Tampa @ Arizona – December 25, 2022
- Los Angeles (Rams) @ Los Angeles (Chargers) – January 1, 2022
Note: Xfinity customers who lease cable boxes already have access Peacock at no cost, which we’d argue makes the service even more formidable in the streaming wars, but that’s a topic for another day.

Final Words
With so many options, streaming NFL football can still be a chore. However, understanding what is available and selecting the services based on your preferences doesn’t have to be impossible.
In 2022, we’ll be streaming NFL games with Sling + Peacock + Prime, which puts our monthly cost at roughly $70 (the same as Hulu). And while Hulu does give viewers access to CBS games where Sling does not, local CBS games can still be accessed via TV antenna, where SNF and TNF games cannot.
The question is: which services will you be streaming your favorite team on this year?
