What are we excited about streaming this weekend?
Recurrence (Netflix): Manuela Pipa Pelari is not the same woman as she once was. The stern woman who survived her time in the Federal Police Department by breaking rules and keeping dark secrets has decided to change her life.
Surface (Apple): A traumatic head injury leaves Sophie with extreme memory loss. In her quest to put the pieces of her life back together – with help from her husband and friends – Sophie begins to question the truth behind her picture-perfect life.
Not Okay (Hulu): “Not Okay” follows Dannie Sanders, an aimless aspiring writer with no friends, no romantic prospects, and – worst of all – no followers, who fakes an Instagram-friendly trip to Paris in the hopes of boosting her social media clout.
Honor Society (Paramount+): Honor Rose has spent the last four years of high school doing everything perfectly. She’s received perfect grades, formed new clubs, and helped her community, all so she can earn a recommendation letter and go to her Ivy League of choice, Harvard. When she approaches the guidance counselor Mr. Calvin (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) about the letter, he lets her know it’s between her and three other students for the coveted recommendation. Honor is less than enthused when she hears this.
