After a brutally long run-up to the finish, with DazBiffle questioning whether the team could even rank at some points in the tournament, Biffle and Sage managed to clean house at the last minute, pulling it together as the mortars dropped; the squad clinging to life.

In an interview after the tournament with eFuse mods, Sage says the key was just staying focused and getting every kill possible.

“We just need to go for every single kill,” Sage said, “we had this bad game and we’re like […] we can basically just troll around, and then it just popped off.”
The hosts kept pressing Sage for more insight, though DazBiffle might have summed it up best, “yea, we had a charred game dude.”
Sage and DazBiffle questioned the outcome
“At first it was difficult because it was like, ‘ok, I see people getting capped in spots, I was like, off, it’s looking a little bit scary for me’ […] I don’t know if I’ll get it this time,” Sage said, “but I did.”
Biffle popped in to remind us all that Sage was capping, maybe too much.
“I gotta cap his spot, he was vibing,” DazBiffle says. Lol.
“When Daz hit me up [for squads],” Sage said, “I was like, I have good chem with them all, I know how all of them play […] it was a good tournament, all around it was just a hell of a run.”
Sage says chemistry is critical to tournament play
“After the first game, it just comes down to a chemistry thing,” Sage added, “you just have to have chem with your team, you know, I trust my teammates a lot.”
That’s something other gamers we’ve interviewed have said about competitive gaming as well; build your team and trust them. “So like, it just comes down to knowing how they play, and playing their flow, as well as just playing the map,” Sage added.
