Original: Rob Webber says FBI targeted him over Trump documentary in 2020. Says it hasn’t stopped since.

After the results of the election last Tuesday, political pundits began writing obituaries for Trump. Some cautioned against it. It was a funny bit to watch over the last week because the truth is it’s just wishful thinking. We’ve all seen what happens when the media writes Trump off. And the talking heads are keen on it, even if they don’t want it to be true.

Late Tuesday, on a night filled with political bluster and fear over a missile strike allegedly launched by Russia on Poland earlier in the day, Donald Trump followed through with plans to announce his candidacy for President in 2024. And while we’d agree he was a bit on the ropes in his presentation last night, he was ultimately as brash and unrelenting as he’s ever been. Hardly DOA politically.

Many have attributed Trump’s “low energy” on Tuesday to the fact that the midterms didn’t necessarily go as planned. The GOP took the house with razor-thin margins and the democrats maintained control of the Senate. But while Trump appeared defeated given the ill-timed announcement and his refusal to admit any mistake and reschedule his event, secretly, most republicans know that there is no one more capable than The Donald at spinning a loss into opportunity.

The truth is: Regardless of your politics, most Americans understand it’s dangerous to write off Trump.

And Rob Webber knows it better than anyone.

Rob Webber says the Trump FBI came for him

This week The Daily Beast published an interview with Rob Webber (2020: A Dumpster Fire) in which he claimed that the FBI opened an investigation into him after the trailer for his documentary about Trump was released.

According to Rob Webber, the FBI made first contact with him after the trailer was released portraying an effigy of Trump on fire. He says the Feds took the clip as a threat to Trump’s life and the presidency.

Since the film’s release, Webber claims that he’s been served subpoenas and visited by the FBI on multiple occasions. The report from the Daily Beast says that their staff verified documents confirming the FBI’s interest in Weber.

The article goes on to say that there is an “official investigation… of suspected violations of federal criminal law.” However, Webber has yet to be charged with a crime.

Here’s the full movie, 2020: A Dumpster Fire, available on YouTube.

We’ll leave it to you to decide whether or not Rob’s film deserves the attention he’s getting from the Feds, but at the end of the day, it’s just a sign of things to come over the next two years.

More Trump

If you don’t know Trump by now, congratulations, you’re five and have so many years left to live. For the rest of us, however, the saturation of the former president is both a source of entertainment and anxiety.

During his years as president, there was almost no moment of the day or day of the week in which Trump didn’t take up space. The commentators and far left hated him, and comedians and the far right loved him. But we all got enough of him.

Over the last two years, there’s been space for new ideas and politically themed content that isn’t solely focused on a caricature of the reality-television star. But that’s all about to change.

Expect more of the same as streaming services start recycling content we’ve already had enough of as Trump becomes more prevalent in our lives, again.
