File: STW celebrates one year in business, May the 4th be with you!
One year ago today, STW launched www.streamingthisweekend.com with one goal in mind: to bring you the best in streaming news, tips, and tricks. We’ve worked through virtually every streaming topic online in the last year, from free streaming services, television, and film, to live streaming and social media. And after one year in business, we’re excited to announce a new and ambitious goal: to become the only resource you need in live streaming. May the 4th be with you!
STW: the little engine for good
Beyond our primary objective to provide the best live-streaming tips and tricks, STW hopes to build a community that supports low-income youth and individuals with disabilities in the live-streaming business.
Like the disruption that Uber caused in the travel industry, displacing accessible transportation options for persons with disabilities, the live-streaming industry has the potential to create enormous wealth and change the status quo – though some folks are being left out. STW hopes to advocate for and identify ways to help low-income youth and individuals with disabilities earn money in this quickly growing medium.
No one should be left out of this new world. We started with tips and tricks for live streaming on Luna with a $100 rig, and we’re now researching ways to improve accessibility in the live-streaming industry for individuals with all abilities.
