February 2023’s free Amazon Luna games list:

Related: January’s free Amazon Luna games list

Gaming on Amazon has been a blast lately. When we started streaming on Twitch with Luna last year, we’d hit a lag here and there, but it didn’t interfere with gameplay terribly. Start adding external audio and video over a weak connection, though, and things could get choppy.

Today, Amazon Luna is a different animal. Gameplay is smooth and the graphics are crisp. We’ve enjoyed it so much, it’s hard to imagine ever paying $1,000 for a console as a casual gamer again. In 2021, Lifewire called Luna “the king of cloud gaming options.” Agreed.

For $50 anyone can purchase an Amazon Fire Stick 4K (or better), download Luna’s virtual controller (at no cost), and enjoy a solid experience with an ever-growing selection of games. Amazon Prime members are given access to four free games every month, but Luna continues to add subscriptions to exclusive content from studios like Ubisoft and Jackbox, as well as offering 200 games in their own premium gaming library.

It’ll be exciting to see where Amazon takes Luna in the next few years, given how far it’s already come. And now that anyone can hop on Twitch and start live-streaming for less than $100, it just feels like there’s a lot more to come in cloud-gaming.

So what’s on February’s free Amazon Luna games list?

February’s free Amazon Luna games list is tough to rank. There’s something there for everyone. But we’ll start with our favorite, WRC Generations. We’ve also included a video snippet for each.

Excellent gameplay, beautiful graphics, and 21 rally courses make WRC Generations our favorite for every racing enthusiast. And while it has a bit of a learning curve, WRC Generations is the perfect game to get your adrenaline pumping once you get the hang of it.

WRC Generations offers a realistic experience of the World Rally Championship, with stunning graphics and realistic sound effects, including an in-game co-driver to help you navigate the course. You can choose from a variety of cars and race tracks as you drift off tracks in every type of weather.

The game also has an online mode so you can compete against other players from around the world. Keep your hands on the wheel though, things can get out of control pretty quickly. For newbies, taking WRC Generations for a spin will be like driving on black ice with bald tires. There’s a lot of slipping and sliding until your get your bearings, but once you’ve got your head in the game it’s a load of fun.

Yakuza Kiwami is number two on our free Amazon Luna games list

After taking the fall for a murder committed by his sworn brother Akira, Kazuma is on parole and on the hunt for 10 billion yen and his missing childhood friend, Yumi. He’s a guy that could probably use a vacation, but there’s a new war brewing and he’s got to find Yumi. Some guys have all the luck.

The gameplay is solid and the graphics have been updated to include real brands and gameplay enhancements. It’s a great game for anyone looking for an immersive and exciting fighting experience. It has a unique combat system that allows players to use their environment as a weapon, as well as an array of special attacks and combos that improve as you progress.

The story is engaging, with plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing until the end. Where is Yumi and will he live?

Whether you’re a fan of the Yakuza series or just looking for something new, Yakuza Kiwami is worth a swing, and that’s why it’s number two on our free Amazon Luna games list.

Potion Permit

Potion Permit is number three on our free Amazon Luna games list

After getting called from the capital and forced to serve as the village chemist by a local mayor, you’re charged with curating medicines needed to heal the townspeople. Unfortunately, they don’t want your help (or anyone’s help from the Capital).

As you scurry through the town you’ll make new friends, heal the sick, and slowly unlock pieces to the game’s mystery. Unlock new levels by pulling quests off the town bulletin board, and keep your pup close.

Create, store, and share recipes with others, while managing your stock and creating custom ingredients for all the grumpy sick neighbors you’re tasked with saving.

Give it a stream if you’re a fan of RPGs and puzzles, we have a good feeling about it.

Skatebird

Skatebird
Skatebird is number four on our free Amazon Luna games list

Are you ready for an egg-sighting new grind on an eight-centimeter deck? Awesome, Toucan play at that game!

Take a break with this super chill and relaxing skateboarding bird game. If you’re looking for a fun and easy way to try your hand at thrashing a half pipe (or being a bird), Skatebird was cooked up just for you.

As IGN’s 5/10 rating would suggest, players either love or hate Skatebird, there’s not a lot of middle ground. As one user wrote:

“If you like skateboarding games and birds or have birds, this game is awesome, my budgie love all the sounds that emit from this game, it’s really fun, and has a great storyline, great graphics, and animation, also suitable for all ages.”

While another argued, “Good bird game. Horrible skating game.” Whatever “good bird game” means, lol.

An interesting user debate is ongoing over at SteamPowered about Skatebird to be sure. In any case, while it seems more like a concept cooked up by The Office’s Michael Scott than a serious skating game, we love Skatebird for its ambiance and simplicity. It’s easy to get started and fun to play. What can we say? While some players are cheeping that’s it unpheasant and hawkward, others are stark skating glad the folks over at Luna included this son of an ostrich. Ok, leave 👉🚪.
